New Okhla Industrial Development Authority comes under the government of Uttar Pradesh and lies in the Gautam Buddha Nagar District. This large industrial, business and residential area is in Uttar Pradesh, but considered part of the National Capital Region of Delhi. It is bound on the west and south-west by the River Yamuna, on the north and north-west by Delhi, on the north-east by Delhi and Ghaziabad and on the north-east, east and south-east by the river Hindon. Noida was formed on 19th April in 1976 and this day is celebrated as NOIDA Day every year.
